To ensure the finish of your beeswax product always remains at its best, we would advise re-coating your product with our maintenance wax from time to time.

Maintenance Wax for the Upkeep of From The Anvil Door Furniture in the Beeswax Finish.
The beeswax finish is the most authentic finish for steel. To preserve the colours and the texture from the forge, hammer and anvil, we apply pure beeswax; this gives a subtle, matt richness to the metal and offers excellent protection when products are fitted internally and properly maintained.
  Inevitably, when two metal areas come into contact with each other, an abrasive action is enacted, and sooner or later, the wax surfaces are lost by the constant rubbing action.
This is unavoidable during the operational activity of the article, so where obvious abrasive areas of moving parts are visible, occasional oiling is recommended.
The use of Maintenance Wax will restore the finish and afford protection.
When choosing the Beeswax finish, sometimes, because of temperature changes and packaging conditions, your product might have signs of a slight white bloom on the opening.
We recommend you buff it with a soft cloth to restore the finish to its intended glory.
When fitted in damp bathrooms or wet properties, mild steel or malleable iron, the two materials forged for the Anvil, can exhibit surface rust. If surface rust does occur, rub with 00-grade wire wool and apply maintenance wax with a rag or brush.
The Maintenance Wax will restore the finish and afford protection.
Please note: The maintenance wax is supplied with a breather hole in the tin lid. This prevents excess pressure from building up inside the container, as the wax is an organic compound. The breather hole is supplied to prevent the lids from popping off over time and will not affect the lifespan of the wax.
